🎮 Fallout: Bakersfield Trailer Delivers Unmatched Fan-Made Fallout Experience
I just watched the new Fallout: Bakersfield trailer and, wow, it’s a masterclass in fan dedication. Alexander “Red888Guns” Berezin has taken the original Fallout 1’s Necropolis and rebuilt it in GZDoom with jaw-dropping fidelity. From the opening FMV‑style shots (which are actually pure in-engine gameplay) to ghouls skulking around ruined storefronts with ‘out of business’ signs, every frame screams authenticity.
Seeing the Vault Dweller blast through irradiated barbecues with a double‑barrel shotgun, knife, and trusty 10 mm pistol brought me right back to those VHS‑tinted evenings playing the classics. I loved the Claymation‑style super mutant heads too, a nostalgic nod that proves Berezin isn’t just porting assets, he’s capturing the series’ soul.

Researchers at Koi Security have uncovered something truly alarming. The Chrome extension FreeVPN.One was secretly taking screenshots of every website its users visited and sending them to remote servers, even when the “AI Threat Detection” feature was turned off 😤📸. Over 100,000 users downloaded this VPN expecting privacy, but what they actually got was full-on silent surveillance.
What makes this even worse is that FreeVPN.One was labeled as a “Featured” extension on the Chrome Web Store, supposedly meeting Google's best practices. In reality, each update made the spying more invasive. The extension gained access to all URLs, injected background scripts, tracked user location and device info, all while pretending to offer extra protection.

Sean Murray says Light No Fire will feature real oceans on an Earth-sized planet, so vast that players will need massive ships and full crews to cross them. It sounds epic, almost poetic, but it’s hard not to remember how things started with No Man’s Sky.
The idea of sailing with friends across dangerous waters, discovering islands, sea monsters, or even floating cities is incredibly exciting. But sheer scale alone doesn’t make a game fun. Long stretches of empty water could easily become tedious unless the journey itself feels alive and full of purpose.
Hello Games has earned respect with a decade of free updates and relentless improvements, but Murray should probably let the work speak for itself. I’m cautiously optimistic: if they turn ocean travel into an adventure filled with meaning instead of monotony, this could become one of the most memorable worlds we’ve ever played. 🎮🌊

The real question is whether the film will capture the solemn tone the subject demands or slip into “faux prestige” with a dressed-up blockbuster feel.
Personally, I’m intrigued by Malek’s ambition to portray a man consumed by his attempt to understand evil in its purest form, though I fear Crowe’s accent and a somewhat artificial aesthetic might break the immersion. Still, the premise that evil is the absence of empathy feels chillingly relevant today. 🕰⚖️

Konami clears the fog and drags us into 1960s rural Japan with Silent Hill f, a bold twist that, to my surprise, works incredibly well 🌸😱. The story of Hinako Shimizu, scarred by family abuse and social oppression, intertwines with an atmosphere that blends temples, forests, and Japanese traditions with the rawness of grotesque monsters and puzzles.
Ryukishi07’s script is as disturbing as it is magnetic, and Akira Yamaoka’s music (Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill 3) once again becomes a character in itself, fusing industrial sounds with gagaku to immerse you in a horror that feels different yet true to the saga’s spirit. The new bar system (health, stamina, and sanity) demands nerves of steel, while fragile weapons heighten that constant sense of vulnerability.
I get why some find it “too colorful” or with combat that feels a bit “gamey,” but that’s precisely the point: it’s another face of fear, more psychological than visceral. And even if many keep asking, “What does this have to do with Silent Hill?”, to me it’s clear: the terror of Ebisugaoka is no less Silent Hill for not taking place in the iconic town. In fact, it’s the dark breath the franchise truly needed.

For years, Agent was Rockstar’s great mystery. A Cold War spy thriller meant to push the studio beyond GTA and Red Dead Redemption. After eleven years in development, it was finally canceled.

What makes spy stories great as films makes them not work as video games.

Games like Hitman, Alpha Protocol and Deus Ex succeed because they confine you. Agent wanted to be James Bond in a world designed for mayhem, and that contradiction doomed it.
Houser admits he still thinks about Agent. Maybe one day someone will finally figure it out. Until then, the dream of the perfect open-world spy game stays locked away.

⚔️ Total War: Medieval 3 is real... but years away
It’s official. Creative Assembly just revealed Total War: Medieval 3 as the next historical title in the saga. But the game is still in early pre-production with zero gameplay and no release window in sight.
They promise the ultimate medieval sandbox powered by a brand-new engine called Warcore. It will even allow future titles to launch on consoles for the first time.
Nice words, but let’s be honest. This reveal feels more like damage control than celebration. We won’t be playing this before 2029, if we’re lucky.

🤖📺 LG just pinned Copilot to your TV. You can’t uninstall it.
After a webOS update, LG TVs now show a Microsoft Copilot tile locked to the home screen. Hide it, maybe. Remove it, no chance. And that changes the deal on a device you already paid for.
This isn’t deep AI magic. It’s basically a web shortcut. But the real issue isn’t AI. It’s consent. Nobody asked.
Smart TVs already track enough. Add an always-there assistant and trust drops to zero. That’s why people unplug WiFi, use HDMI boxes, block updates. Not to be fancy. To stay in control.
Today it’s “you can’t remove it”. Tomorrow it’s “there’s no version without it”. And one day, you pay extra to turn the noise off.

Fallout Season 2 Sends Players Flooding Back Into the Wasteland 🎮
📺 Fallout Season 2 didn’t just land on Prime Video. It dragged everyone straight back into the wasteland. Since the new episodes arrived, Fallout 4 has doubled its daily Steam players, New Vegas has nearly tripled, Fallout 76 spiked, and even Fallout 3 woke up from hibernation. Yes, the Steam Winter Sale helped… but plenty of discounted RPGs didn’t move like this. Fallout didn’t rise. It surged.
And then Fallout Shelter added Lucy, Maximus and The Ghoul… and suddenly everyone was back managing Vaults like it was 2015 again. This isn’t nostalgia bait.
