I forgot to post his earlier. I find this very interesting considering we have this issue regarding The Evergreen-Evergrande, that was just freed, from the Chesapeake Bay Waterway, after being "stuck", for a little over a month. This being the 2nd time, in a years space, an Evergreen cargo ship, has gotten "stuck". The first time, was in the Suez Canal, and was there for about a week, causing major back ups of cargo ships, not to mention supply chain issues. Two of them, just got "stuck"? Who owns Evergreen? 🧐🤔 Now, I'm wondering, if there was any land, near the one in the Suez, that maybe needs a dig in to, just like Gobson Island did.🤔🧐 I bet these waterways, and ports, will be seeing some major changes coming, if not already being implemented. There was also a cruise ship, that just recently got "stuck", but this was only for 24 hrs apparently. Hmmm. 🤔🧐 I'll look for the article. Just bizarre, to me. I came here to see your videos on @q and decided to look around your website when I came upon this emotional healing video, I’m sure that it wasn’t by accident!

As soon as I started listening to you I started to cry from deep within, big sobs, lots of leaky tears but no emotion that I could identify, especially when I remembered some things you were speaking of.

I have been diagnosed with DID and PTSD, been in tons of counseling that I felt did more harm than good because, like you said about Denise, they bring up stuff, I cry then go home and go right back to feeling the same way.

I do have lost memory of the first 5 years of my life and other parts here and there. I actually remember when I came to or whatever that was where I felt I woke up in the back seat of a car that I knew was taking me to my new home, a foster home, but didn’t remember anything of my life just before that. My sister was with me and I knew her and was protective of her.

After I was saved I feel like we might have felt safe enough and that’s when I started dreaming. I’ve had the dream of the little girl who is sad, lonely and doesn’t speak, she looks dirty and disheveled. I’ve also had the dream of the house that was dark at first with no one in it, it was dirty and nasty. Over time I was able to enter a room, a white room with white furniture and big windows so there was lots of light, but the rest of the house was dark with little ones scurrying around that I only caught glimpses of. I haven’t had those in about 20 years but I have also set aside any emotional healing practices like journaling, meditating for anxiety. To be honest I was hoping that God would one day heal me lol

THANK YOU for making this video, it made lots of sense to me, more than any therapy did. I shed a ton more tears and I do recognize the emotions, the biggest one being shame apparently. I look forward to reading your book on emotional healing and also on the Gates of Shiloh. I did feel lighter after your prayer, couldn’t feel the first emotion any longer, going to have to work more on the deep shame and the other emotions. I will be back to see your other videos on this subject.

On Tuesday, the New York Times offered what feels like its 12-millionth sob story about Covid, the disease worse than all the others.

This time, the Times wrote about grandparents forced into raising their grandchildren following the Covid deaths of their own children.

As Families Grieve, Grandparents Step Up

Given the age distribution of Covid deaths, this take is particularly cynical. Drug overdoses and violence are far more likely to kill young parents.

Still, the Times dragged out a statistic from a group called Covid Collaborative, a “non-partisan group” (uh-huh) of “experts in public health” (you paid good money for those PhDs!) who want “to defeat the pandemic” (about that) and “sustainably and safety reopen the country” (“sustainably” is the giveaway they will be reaching DEEP into your pockets).

Anyway, the Times said that Covid Collaborative had reported in December that 167,000 children “had lost a parent or primary caregiver to the pandemic.”

Read that fast and it sounds like 167,000 parents died of Covid in 2020 and 2021. Which would be a lot.

Nope.

Here’s what the report actually said. First, the Covid Collaborators didn’t count parental deaths at all. They guessed how many people who died of Covid might have had children, based on national household surveys.

Ignore the fact that the number was simply an estimate, though. The report still didn’t say that 167,000 parents had died of Covid. It counted the number of children who had lost “parents, custodial grandparents, or other caregivers.”

The number of children who had a parent die was about 70,000, according to the report. But that figure doesn’t translate into 70,000 parents dying either. These were kids, not parents - meaning the death of a parent with five kids would pump the report by five deaths.

So how many parents have died of Covid? The report never offers any estimate - but it appears to be between 20,000 and 30,000. Even that estimate will be biased high. Young people who die of Covid are much more likely to have severe chronic health conditions and thus less likely to have kids.

But even 30,000 is a long way from 167,000, and is almost certainly less than the number of parents who have died in traffic accidents since Covid began.

Which may explain why the Times seems to have struggled to find parents who fit the profile it needed. Remember, this story was a feature, meaning the reporter didn’t have deadline pressure and could take as much time as she needed to find cases.

So why did she include Thomas Lanza, a 41-year-old teacher from Staten Island, NY, with two young children?

According to the Times: [In October 2020], Thomas Lanza, 41, a high school special education teacher, died of Covid-19 with shocking swiftness; he didn’t survive the ambulance ride to the hospital.

This version of events would indeed be shocking, given that in those very rare cases when Covid does kill people under 50, it almost never does so quickly.

And it is not how Lanza’s death was reported at the time. The local Staten Island newspaper went out of its way in his obituary to explain that he had died of pneumonia, he had NOT died of COVID-19. (It also said he had died at home, not in an ambulance.)

How to Count Trials as Joy

Think about the last couple of years. What have you faced? What have you overcome? What are you currently walking through?

When we find ourselves in the midst of unfortunate situations, it’s easy to become so fixated on our problems that we begin to lose perspective. But James encourages Christians to embrace a radical alternative. He tells Jesus’ followers to consider trials of any kind as an opportunity for great joy.

The Greek word for “trials” actually stems from the same root word as “temptation”—but it leads us in an opposite direction. We tend to let trials dictate our emotional responses and then let our emotions influence our actions. But when this happens, our natural desire to escape the trial can tempt us and potentially lead us down harmful paths disguised as shortcuts.

But while temptations always result in separation from God, trials can actually draw us closer to Him. Trials test the extent of our obedience by revealing what our faith is founded in.

If we say we love God but we allow our circumstances to dictate our responses, then we might have more faith in our circumstances than in our God.

God will never tempt us, but if He allows us to experience a trial, then He will give us the strength to endure it. And as we endure, our character is refined—and the refining of our character is a good and perfect gift.

This is perhaps why James later says that, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above; coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.” (v. 17, ESV)

While God does not create pain, He will use it for His glory and our good. And if the pain results in something good for us—like the purification of our character and a deeper intimacy with God—then we can actually rejoice in the midst of suffering.

When we view trials from that perspective, our suffering becomes a way for us to worship God. And as we worship Him, our hearts become realigned with His heart.

So today, ask God to give you the strength to endure the trials you are currently walking through. Allow Him to fill you with joy by showing you how the trials are making you more like Jesus.
